About
Welcome to a creative day with the theme of flowers and clay. A perfect day to give yourself or someone who needs it. Take the chance to be in the moment, work with your hands and awaken all the senses with the help of clay, plants, colors and scents. We are a florist and a potter collaborating during the workshop and we are so looking forward to meeting you. We meet in Moa's cozy ceramics workshop in Tyringe, in the middle of nature and far from noise. During the day, you can partly create a wreath or an arrangement with flowers and partly a clay vase. During the workshop in April and May, it is fresh flowers that you arrange in a vessel you have brought and you make a clay vase instead of a jug. During the part with flowers, you create with plant material grown and picked nearby. Britta guides you in the work and has also brought beautiful plant material to work with. You make the clay vase in April and May from rolled clay that you decorate with prints of plants. It will be a very personal vase and it is wonderful to work with clay. Moa guides you in this part of the workshop. You take the flowers home the same day and you pick up the clay vase/clay jug another day when it has had time to dry and be burned.
You'll learn
- Floral design and using what is in season.
- Pottery and rolling clay into a jug
- Colour, form and composition in both the flower section and the ceramic section.
Included
-All material for both wreaths/flower arrangements and lervas. Please note that in April and May you must bring your own container for the flowers. It is also possible to buy vessels on site at cost price. More info will come about suitable vessels to bring. - Guidance by Moa and Britta. - Lunch and coffee.

Britta Levin at Hultseröd's gardens is a flower grower and creator on a farm at the end of a road in the middle of Skåne. She is passionate about offering time and space for creation close to nature and to be more in the heart and less in the brain. She specializes in creating with plant material in our natural season. Moa Mejstad at Tree and Clay is a person who feels best working with her hands either in clay where she creates utility objects and sculptures or in vegetable fields and hay fields. She and her family live outside Tyringe in a clearing in the forest. They have converted the stable into a fine ceramics workshop, with the possibility of course activities. "Creation is a big part of me. It's there without me having to think about it." says Moa. For many years, she has worked as a circle leader for ABF Malmö, where the participants learn to thumb, roll, turn, sculpt and glaze.
