This is a bite-sized ceramics workshop focused on throwing (drejning). You will get to try how to create ceramics pieces using a potters wheel as well as some hand building techniques.
Each participant will have their own wheel and table space;
1.5kg of clay will be included in the course fee, more can be purchased if desired.
Leigh will finish your piece (trim, glaze, and two firings), and you can pick it up within a month.
Coffee and tea included. You can also bring a bottle of wine or other preferred drinks. This is the perfect team activity for a small team. Wear non-sensitive clothing, the studio is dusty from the clay.
Leigh is a professional art educator. She works as a fulltime art teacher, runs her public ceramics studio in her spare time, and is completing her matster's of art education. She is from Topeka, Kansas, she is a native English speaker but does understand Swedish. Her personal style and preferred medium is constantly shifting and she enjoys witnessing the development of her students’ style and preferences through their experimentation. Students should see the importance of studying and making art so they can develop new strategies to express themselves and are able to make connections and build relationships with the world around them.

Had a very nice evening with my colleagues at Leigh's studio. Warmly recommending it.
