Overview

Get started with knitting

In this workshop Olga will teach you what kind of materials you will be needing as a beginning knitter, different kind of yarn fibers and what you should think about when selecting a pattern and the yarn for it. The workshop also includes a practical part where you will learn methods for casting on, making knit and purl stitches, increasing, decreasing and finally binding off you stitches. By the end of the workshop you will have the skills to get started with your own project!

Olga Stern
Since 2017

Olga has been knitting since she made her first pair of Lovikka-mittens in 8th grade. But the fear of patterns restricted her from making the stuff she really wanted to do - beautiful sweaters and cozy hats! A while back she decided to face her fears and dive into the world of patterns. Since then she has learned a lot and her imaginative and lively pattern design is popular among friends and family. Now she's here to teach you how to tackle your first knitting project.
