Four Hour Course in Portraiture

Participants will be guided through a variety of drawing and seeing techniques that will help them improve their portrait drawing skills. No prior knowledge is needed, and all materials will be provided. Each student will receive their own set of colored pencils, which are theirs to keep and practice with at home. We will start the class with a lesson on facial proportions and colored pencils, and then move to quick warm-up drawings. We will then draw from mirrors for differing time segments. I will give tips and offer assistance throughout the entire course, helping students to break down shapes, shadows, and colors in a way that leads them to better draw human portraits.
