A skillbreak is a bite-sized and hands-on learning experience with a precise learning outcome. It allows you to develop existing skills or even try something for the first time. The secret sauce is the bite-sized format, most workshops run between 2-4 hours. All Skillbreaks are taught by interesting creative experts in small groups. This format is well-researched and it’s the recipe for fun and rewarding learning experiences, making learning part of your everyday life.
We’re showcasing the best workshops in arts, crafts and design. We’re constantly adding new workshops, so check regularly to see what’s new.
You’ll get an email confirming your booking immediately after you pay. You can also access details of under “Booked Skillbreaks” on your account.
Signing up for Skillbreak allows you to get notifications about upcoming workshops, easily book new skillbreaks, and (if you want) we can keep you up to date with news and offers.
We understand that things come up sometimes... no problem! All workshops can be canceled and refunded in full 5 days prior to the workshop. Alternatively, if you want to give your place to someone else, please let us know by emailing [email protected] and we will switch the booking. Just make sure they are signed up to Skillbreak too. Nope. We use Stripe for payments and we don’t save your card details.

For Experts

Skillbreak is a community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique and local learning experiences. As an expert you get the tools to market, manage and get paid for your unique skills. Right now we operate in Sweden, but we strive to make continuous learning a habit, all over the world.
You can offer courses, classes and workshops in the areas of Design & DIY, Ceramics & Crafts, Arts & Photo, Cooking & Baking, Nature & Cultivation och Beauty & Lifestyle. As long as they fit into the Skillbreak concept: bite-sized, practical and inspiring learning experiences with a precise learning outcome.
We want to ensure the highest quality experience for our users, so we approve each individual expert who registers on Skillbreak. In the near future, experts will be able to publish and manage their own workshops.
You can change the date and time, description, location or any other information as long as there are no bookings made. If you experience problems, send us an email at [email protected] or contact us on the chat or on our Facebook page.
We prefer if you don’t in order to keep users happy. But we understand difficult situations may come up and in this case you need to contact us by email [email protected] at and then email any existing bookings directly. For payments taken on our platform, we will handle the reimbursement.
A participant can cancel with full refund up to five days before the course.
If there are few participants in your workshop, please do not cancel it. Share the workshop, ask a friend to share it. Eventually, the word will spread, and your workshop becomes full. Sometimes it happens last minute. If you do decide to cancel anyway, this must be done five days prior to the workshop date.
Showcasing your workshops on Skillbreak is free and there are no strings attached, but we do ask you to agree to our general Terms of Use. You can hold as many or as few workshops you want. When a user books an activity, we take a small commission to cover the costs of our service. This fee ranges from 10-30% depending on our agreement.
You have your money (participant fees minus our service fee) on your bank account no more than eight banking days after completion of the workshop.
