Tufting workshop (English!)

During two days we learn the technique of tufting in my Studio Ateljé on Folkungagatan. You learn how to use the tufting machine and also what you need to be able to continue tufting at home. After the course, you go home with a work you have created yourself. A wallhanging, mirror or a small carpet. The first day will be dedicated to teaching you about the craft of tufting where I will show you how to prepare before starting. Then we stretch the background cloth and design our works. We go through the basic technology together and I support and make sure you get started. On the second day it's all about tufting! You work until you are finished with your piece and then we go on to glueing and finishing. We tuft on a frame that has an 80x80cm tufting area. You can bring your own yarn or buy from me on site. The yarn is 100% wool from New Zealand and is made for tufting.
