Introduction to Acrylic Painting

Acrylic paint is the ideal medium for new painters, and for painting still-lifes! It dries quickly, and changes can be made continuously. In this course, we will learn how to represent objects from life by using acrylic paint. We will discuss brush strokes, paint thickness, and different styles of painting. We'll work on different activities each week. The main topics we'll cover are: - mixing and applying acrylic paint - use of different paintbrushes - composition - color - light and shadow If you have your own acrylic paint already, please feel free to bring them.
