About the expert

Passionate about greens and the art of cooking vegetarian food, Isa Ekstam founded Greenisadream, offering popular vegan and vegetarian cooking classes in central Stockholm.

“I want to plant seeds of curiosity in other people, seeds that hopefully grow into new insight and knowledge about green food and all its benefits. In a way, I’m like a farmer!“

About the Skillbreak

A workshop for those who are eager to learn more about the Swedish vegetarian cuisine. We will cook fresh summer dishes typical for Sweden, covering main dishes, side dishes and dessert. You’ll start with a classic Swedish "fika" while Isa takes you through an introduction to vegan cooking and nutrition. The menu is explained and we will hand out recipes and aprons. You will be divided into small groups and get to cook the different dishes under close guidance of Isa. In the end of the class you’ll team up for a lovely buffé-style lunch to enjoy all the amazing dishes together.

Key learnings

  • Introduction to vegan nutrition and cooking
  • Cooking with Swedish seasonal and locally produced vegetables
  • Meatless proteins such as tofu, seitan, soya protein, nuts, lentils and beans

Additional information

Fika, lunch and receipies are included. The course can be adapted to vegan or vegetarian needs, booking for a group of minimum four people. You can choose evening or day.
